We are learning all about the states of matter: solids, liquids and gases. We are also going to learn about changes of state: evaporation, condensation, melting, freezing/solidifying. Here are some pictures of the children proving that gas exists all around us, even through we can’t see it!

Dragon stories
Thank you to all the children (and families) who have worked so hard on creating amazing dragon stories for homework. So many children have been really keen to read these out to their friends at school. It’s great to see how proud the children are of their work, and what exciting stories they have created! Good job, Skipper 4!

Science – Electricity
The children have loved exploring our new science topic on electricity. We have learned what we need in order to make an electrical circuit, and that batteries produce electrical energy using a chemical reaction. We have explored which circuits do and don’t work and why. In this topic, we will also be learning about conductors and insulators, and how switches work.
Wonderful Home Learning projects
We loved sharing all of these with the class. What amazing projects were created by lots of families! Thank you Skipper 4 for all your efforts. We hope you loved making these as much as we loved sharing them with you. Can you see our scary warrior poses?!
Science – Digestion
We made a digestive system in class. This was brilliant and hilariously gross! Can you remember what happens to our food at each stage of digestion? What functions do the different organs have?
